Forestry Club , an environmental club functioning under the zoology department headed by Prof.P.M.Khairunnisa(HOD), is registered under the GOVT of Kerala. it has conducted many nature study camps & awareness classes. All the students of Zoology department are the members of this club. Currently it has about '90' members . The members regularly involved in planting seedlings in & around the campus. In the International Year of Forest 2011 , the forestry club has planed a year long celebration including field visits , awareness classes , quiz , logo & poster making competitions , debates etc.

CITIZEN SCIENCE FORUM

Citizen science is a term used for projects or ongoing program of scientific work in which individual volunteers or networks of volunteers, many of whom may have no specific scientific training, perform or manage research-related tasks such as observation, measurement, or computation.In addition, these projects aim to promote public engagement with the research, as well as with science in general. Some programs provide materials specifically for use by primary or secondary school students. As such, citizen science is one approach to informal science education.

Citizen science forum of our college have already completed many study surveys regarding the biodiversity & distribution of mammals , avian fauna, modern agricultural practices and it's ill impact on the nature . We are aiming for the conservation of the traditional life styles by enquiring about the scientific facts behind it . The members are on the on the way to collect information about locally available medicinal plants and it's conservation. The preliminary work of the herbal garden has already started. The CSF is now guided by Prof.Krishnaprabha.K.S.
